Ray Ferritto, whose full name was Raymond Ferritto, was a notorious mobster who was associated with the Cleveland crime family. He was born on November 17, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, and became involved in organized crime at a young age.
Ferritto was a close associate of mob bosses Anthony and Joseph Leonardo. He was known for his skills as a hitman and enforcer and was involved in various criminal activities, including loan sharking, illegal gambling, and drug trafficking.
In 1983, Ferritto became an FBI informant and provided crucial information that led to the dismantling of the Cleveland crime family. He testified against several mobsters, including his former boss, Angelo Lonardo, and helped secure numerous convictions.
Despite his cooperation with law enforcement, Ferritto was sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in various criminal activities. He died in prison on August 18, 2004, at the age of 74.
